WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermaker volleyball team will kick off its spring season on Saturday, March 29 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the University of Michigan Spring Tournament. Purdue will be joined by Eastern Michigan, Notre Dame, Northern Michigan and the host Wolverines. The Boilermakers will open tournament play with a 9:30 a.m. match against Eastern Michigan, followed by a 10:45 a.m. tilt against Northern Michigan. In the afternoon session, Purdue plays Notre Dame at 1 p.m. and Michigan at 3:30 p.m. The tournament will use a round-robin format and all matches will be played best two out of three sets. The first two sets will be played to 25 points and, if necessary, the third will be played to 15 points. The 2007 Boilermakers made the program's fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and advanced to the second round for the fourth consecutive year. Purdue finished the season 19-14, including an 11-9 mark in Big Ten play, good for third place, its best conference finish since 1990. The Boilermakers will take part in three more tournaments during the spring season.
